Hey there, I'm Tenzin! Welcome to my webpage. I'm glad you found me!

I like programming, writing blogs, learning math, and cooking for my friends. Currently I'm on gap year working as a data scientist. I believe in being way too earnest, silly/playful, and intensely spirited about the things you do.

I spend most of my time outside of work tending to my garden of projects for no particular reason other than as a labour of love; my pursuits have made me certain that making things is fun and good for you. Take a walk through via this site.

## Stuff I've Done

Some projects I've worked on:

loci: immersive memory palace experience generator

I once met someone who could rap the digits of pi for 6 consecutive minutes. They told me their secret was using a memory palace. Years later, my friends and I built loci to explore this idea at a hackathon. I had a lot of fun, also three.js is very cool.

datascale: data annotation platform that lives fully on your tailnet

A while ago, I was responsible for annotating sensitive medical imaging data. This is a product of a realization that there is too much friction between maintaining dataset privacy and team annotator collaboration.

memory: custom memory allocator in C

Is it better than the standard malloc? Hell no! But it was cool to create, and sometimes, that's good enough of a reason to do something.

mnist-from-scratch: feedforward neural network coded from scratch

I had a lot of fun piecing together the mathematical mechanics behind this neural nets. I also started to figure out what it means to learn something deeply.

runnybeede: 2 pollinator gardens in Toronto

This project started for so many reasons. To name a couple, a personal desire to make my highschool a little more beautiful, being bored in Biology and reading an advertisement for garden grants, and wanting to make something that lasts.
